Case study · Interior design and modular furniture
One system from enquiry to handover for a modular interiors firm
At Wood Spazio, the office, the factory and the site teams each kept their own records, so nobody could say what a job had cost or whether it was making money. We built one web app where every project has a single record, from the first enquiry and BOQ to the cutting plan, site visits, handover and final invoice.
- Client
- Wood Spazio
- Where
- Karur, Tamil Nadu
- Status
- In production; a second deployment for Krishna Plywood is in pilot
- Used by
- Partners, supervisors, reception, sales (BDM) and site labour, on laptops, shop tablets and phones
The problem
- No daily site visit reports, photos scattered across phones, and site expenses not tracked against the job.
- Quotes, purchase orders and invoices were made separately, so there was no clear profit and loss per project.
- Field staff were not comfortable typing in English, and snags and rework were handled informally.
What we built
Sales and quoting
- Enquiries that become itemised BOQ quotes with sections, versions and approval status
- Branded quotation PDF, then one click to turn an approved quote into a job
- Change orders, with the approved BOQ becoming the project budget
Factory and purchase
- Room-wise cutting plan with a sheet optimiser that shows waste % and edge banding, exported as PDF
- Purchase requests, vendor POs, goods received notes with photos, and a three-way match against the vendor bill
- Inventory, work orders, production schedule and QC checklists
Site, billing and control
- Daily site visit reports, a photo timeline and a client progress PDF
- Snag list, delivery challan, and a handover certificate with warranty tracking
- GST invoices (CGST, SGST, IGST), TDS, milestone billing, and project and portfolio P&L
- Tamil and Tanglish voice input for field staff, five staff roles, and an audit log partners can read
In numbers
- 1
- Record per project, from enquiry to final invoice
- 5
- Staff roles, each seeing only what they need
- 66 / 66
- Tables restored in the backup drill before the second deployment went live
From the project's own test, deploy and status records.
